Measured outcomes
Historical result for this individual, anonymized engagement. Source and period are shown on this page and in the dashboard image. Results are account-specific, do not prove that one action caused the change, and are not guaranteed for another seller.
Structure that survives churn.
A US consumer DTC account operated as a long-term engagement from 2016 through 2020, with one written objective: monitor advertising spend and sales against the client-approved return target while the catalog changed underneath. Catalogs at this size turn over constantly: products enter, age, and exit. The ad account has to keep its shape through that churn, or the return target stops being readable against it.
Structure carried the account. A Sponsored Products program with match-type isolation gave exact, phrase, and auto one job each, so performance reported cleanly no matter what the catalog did. Bids and search-term reports were reviewed on a fixed weekly cadence: winners promoted to exact, waste cut with negatives at the source. Budget followed demand that had already proven itself. The same weekly loop ran across all four years.
- 01Structure
Single-ASIN groups + separate brand-defense + non-branded scaling lanes.
- 02Top-of-search
Bid up on the hero ASINs that carry the catalog.
- 03Negative harvest
Weekly search-term review keeps wasted spend out as budget grows.
- 04Hold & compound
Once it works, protect it; efficiency drifts down as spend scales.
